A little about the role
As the Novit Software Engineer, you will be a core member of the team in developing Android/ATAK integrations for our system processing spaceborne image and radar data, triggering robotic actions. The ideal candidate would be passionate about creating intelligent products never seen elsewhere before.
While the focus of the role will be ATAK, based on Android, you will need to be interested in learning new technologies and tools beyond mobile development such as embedded and machine learning to be an effective Novit team player.
This role involves on-site attendance (ODTU Teknokent, Ankara)
Basic Qualifications:
- BSc degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related engineering field
- Strong skills in Java
- Familiarity with Python
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- 1+ year of commercial experience within an Android Development role is ideal, please demonstrate familiarity with Java and Android in another way if you lack commercial experience
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
- Analytical and detail oriented
- Basic understanding of Android app architecture, Android UI, Android Studio
- Familiarity with a distributed source control system (we use git)
- A positive attitude with an ability to learn and apply new information effectively and quickly
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of Android NDK
- Demonstrable familiarity with ATAK/CivTAK (please note)
- Published one or more Android apps to Google Play
